Financial Poise Weekly Rundown

Note: Episodes 1-74 were produced under the name “Accredited Investor Markets Radio”. We changed the name to “Financial Poise Radio” starting with Episode 75.

In Episode 41 of Accredited Investor Markets Radio, our Christopher Cahill sat down with Swati Chaturvedi, Co-Founder and CEO of Propel(x), for a deep dive into deep technology due diligence.  How to evaluate deep technology start-up companies technologically, financially, commercially, and in all other relevant ways -- and thus diminish the information asymmetry facing potential investors in enterprises that just may change our lives?  This is Ms. Chaturvedi's business.  An essential topic address seriously but with a light touch.

You can learn more about Swati and Propel (X) here.

About Swati Chaturvedi

Prior to starting Propel(x), Swati worked in management consulting and investing. Most recently, Swati worked at Exigen Capital on IT, Telecom, Travel, and BPO deals. Before this, she sourced and evaluated deals in the Industrial Automation sector with Siemens Venture Capital. Swati is also the co-founder and coordinator of the MIT Alumni Angel Investors group. In working with the group, she saw several ways in which the angel investing process could be improved. Propel(x) is geared toward filling the gap, and making angel investing a more efficient process.

Swati has an MBA from the Sloan School of Management, an M.S. from MIT (Technology and Policy Program) and an M.S. from UC Berkeley (Civil Engineering). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Indian Institute of Technology. In her spare time, she blows bubbles with her one-year-old and learns about Harry Potter from her seven-year-old. She is a fan of all things sci-fi.
